Zoe-perry

Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC comedy Roseanne. Perry did not decide to consider a career in acting after reaching adulthood because her parents were afraid of the negative consequences stress can be a cause of. Perry confessed that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school, but started acting to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, moved in New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry performed with her mom on stage in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry starred in nine episodes of ABC's drama The Family. Perry was also featured in the role of a political thriller Scandal along with her father. The character she played was an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. Despite having a family connection to the character she got the role through an audition.
