Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally called Andra day, is an American R&B singer-songwriter. Alongside a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she has also been nominated for the winner of an Academy Award. Andra Day is an imposing musician and artist who isn't merely a throwback R&B expert. Her roots in gospel jazz and the blues displayed with ease and finesse are passed on to today's music. She appeared first in TV shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods, before debuting in the horror films Halloween as well as sequels.
