Catherine Bell, a tall and athletic actress, was born London, England. However she relocated to Los Angeles, California with her mother when she was just a child. Following her decision to drop out of the pre-med college in order to study modeling in Japan, Catherine Bell decided to pursue her dream as an actor. She returned in L.A. after doing a handful of commercials and making guest appearances on television films and miniscule shows. The actress was the Isabella Rosellini's naked body double for the film Death Becomes Her in 1992. It led her to meet her future spouse (Adam Deason) at the set of the film. After making a short guest appearance on NBC show JAG, she wrote an open letter to JAG's producers in which she expressed her desire to be a part of the show.
